The popularity of home schooling children is on the rise. This is due in fact to many reasons. One of those reasons is the perception of parents in regards to the quality of the public school education system. It would appear that it is not the quality of the educator, but more of the desire for the parents to get individualized attention for their children.
In addition, another main concern of parents is a protection issue in regards to their child’s safety. These concerns surround shootings, gangs, drugs and the anger of children in general in today’s society and this anger manifesting itself on school campuses.
Also, another reason why parents choose to home school their children is that they can select the curriculum that is based upon their particular belief system. In addition, home school books, as part of the curriculum, should match the individuality and learning processes of the student.
